ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small community in southwestern Wisconsin. I graduated from Richland Center High School in 2003. Following high school I attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse to pursue a degree in the educational field. From 2003 to 2008 I obtained a bachelor's degree with a double major in broadfield social studies and education. In addition, I doubled minored in history and geography. I am currently on schedule to graduate from Iowa State University in 2015 with a master's degree in Curriculum and Instructional Technology. I have taught social studies at Fort Madison Senior High School for five years.
I have an extreme appreciation for education and my personal philosophy is that it is something that never ceases. This educational pursuit should focus more on the journey than the destination. Therefore I often require a great deal of commitment and rigor in my classroom. Those that value a positive transformation will enjoy my courses. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to develop young historians and in turn leave the world a bit better than what I found it in. Please feel free to contact me any time for whatever reason. Thanks for your time and I look forward to meeting you soon!
